The Boston Globe reported that Harvard medical anthropologist and physician Paul Farmer is being considered for a top role in the Obama camp to help run US health projects overseas. As a proponent of quality health care as a basic human right, Farmer cofounded Partners in Health, an international non-profit that provides medical treatment, conducts research and engages in advocacy on behalf of those who are sick and living in poverty.

Too bad he isn’t being brought in to do American health care too! I would love to see his talented mind working on that one!
The only credential mentioned in this article about Dr. Farmer was his MD. His PhD seemed to have alluded the author.
