Congratulations to Alexander Wade Barker, member of the American Anthropological Association, who was recently awarded with an appointment of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) Review Committee. The seven-member NAGPRA Review Committee is an advisory body for the National NAGPRA Program, who is chosen by appointment by the Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar. Dr. Barker and Linda Lee Kuuleilani Farm are appointed to four-year terms. The two new members were appointed by the Secretary from a list of seven nominees submitted by national museum organizations and scientific organizations. Alex Barker and Ms. Farm succeed Dan Monroe and Alan Goodman.
