Going to the Annual Meeting? Try Montreal’s Famous Bagels!

Did you know that Montréal is famous for its bagels?

If you’re already registered for the AAA 2011 Annual Meeting, you most likely will try one of these delicacies while in Montreal.

Montréal bagels are actually different from New York and Toronto bagels.  They are made with eggs and are baked in wood ovens. In comparison, New York bagels are made with water and are spongy, while Toronto bagels are usually baked in gas ovens.

Correction: The previous image posted did not portray an accurate Montreal Bagel. The photo has been change to reflect the difference in bagels – thanks to blog reader, Scott M. More information on Montreal’s bagels can be found on The Montreal Buzz.
