MAKE Magazine‘s new video series “The Elements of Humanity” includes interviews with scientists who share stories about what motivated them to get involved in their profession and what continues to provide inspiration and insight in their work. One of the videos features Louise Leakey, research assistant professor in the Stony Brook U department of anthropology, co-founder of the Turkana Basin Institute, and National Geographic Explorer in Residence. She discusses the potential of Google Earth to dramatically expand the scale of archaeological work. Leakey was also featured in a 2008 TED Talk.
